Great Blue Hole

     Belize is a country located on the east coast of central America. Lighthouse reaf is a huge sea pit located in the middle of the water in the middle of the island . Yes this is how the area is called (The Great Blue Hole).

Details

     Lighthouse Reef Island is located 70km from belize city. This huge pit is 318 meters (1,043 feet) in diameter and 124 meters (407 feet) deep. Researches belize that area may have appeared in the form of ( stalactities ).

Stalactities

          Stalactities are a type of drive formation that occures in submerges areas thousands of years ago. That is the rocks deform under the friction caused by the current in the submerged crave and rocks. It is estimated that these changes under the sea may have taken places between 15,000 and 1,53000 years ago.

     The surface of the submerged seagulls makes it look like a huge pit.

Exploration

         The places was popularized by Jacques cousteau.  It was announced as one of the top 5 most popular places for scuba diving. The site was discovered in 1971 while sailing on his own ship.

         This part of the study found that this transition occured in four stages. Previously the depths were 21 meters, 49 meters and 91 meters. The area which was 125 meters deep when last surveyed, was discovered by the cambrian foundation in 1997 to be 124 meters deep.

          The ensured that the formation of these stalactities continued.

Mystery

        As an unexplored legend of the deep, the great 

Blue Hole in Belize is said to hold deep-sea monsters and maya mysteries.

        The first expedition to the bottom has turned up neither of the those wonders, but scientists and explorers have discovered is fascinating even though it is not, as several outlet have claimed, an unexplained mystery.

        In december 2018, after diving 125 meters (410 feet) to the very bottom of the blue hole in a specially equipped submarine, the team noticed somthing strange. There on the sand were a set of tracks.
